SATAN MADE ME DO IT is officially part of the GIMME RADIO family (check us out at https://gimmeradio.com/#/djs/121) but it always feel good to do these “independent shows” every once and a while. WE CRAVE THE ATTENTION! And we get to be even crazier, both with the music and with the mixer controls. You’ll see what we mean when you listen to this: lots of leftfield madness on top of the extreme metal you all know and love. We feel pretty good about this show!
You’ve been kept in the dark for long enough, so here’s some major news FINALLY: we are officially part of the GIMME RADIO family, a metal music platform for all the metal-obsessed bangers of the world in whose ranks are included Dave Mustaine, Katon W. De Pena, The Reaper with Athenar of Midnight fame, Jessica Pimentel, Ross The Boss, Danny Lilker and many other members of exquisite metal authority. We’re more than excited, you can tell just by reading this.
What does this all mean? Basically, our Two-Hour-Long Monthly Shows Are Back, better than ever. We’re premiering Saturday, December 22nd, at 11am ET / 8am PT (that’s 4pm GMT / 5pm CET). Pretty damn soon, innit?
This is a lot to take in and there will me more to say on the days to come. For now, read all about us and stare at our lifeless eyes – black eyes, like a doll’s eyes – on our Gimme Radio profile: https://gimmeradio.com/#/djs/121 (be a pal and log in!)
If not us, then who? SATAN MADE ME DO IT are back to its despicable duo format after one of us moved from sunny Lisbon to leathery London. And you can tell by this show: we’re thirsty for gallons of blood and hungry for ingesting chunks of hot metal as easy as eating celery sticks.
There’s dark ambient and synth, noisy dementia and depression, tons of metal punk, south american vibes, punk hardcore anger, saucy band names, crazy use of the mixing table’s flanger, reverb and phaser effects, and plain old school metal on top. And guess what: it all makes sense. One of those metal shows you can actually dance to.
No one does it quite like SATAN MADE ME DO IT and you better believe it!
This isn’t the way the world ends, but it sure was a banging way to wrap up 2017. Fellow troublemakers SYSTEMIK VIØLENCE shook us with an ungraceful selection of songs and topics of discussion, spewing poison left and right in glorious – and equally graceless – Portuguese. They got their first album out and beg you: if you’re to buy it, buy it from them. They could use the cash and, let’s face it, a LP called “Satanarkist Attack” deserves your hard-earned capitalist money https://systemikviolence.bandcamp.com/album/satanarkist-attack
That’s hour two. Hour one sees us not knowing what to expect from our guests and playing music while hoping for the best. All in all, ‘twas dope.
We are now balls deep in our second anniversary of Radio Quântica shows. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to US!! From this high up we gotta say: it’s one wondrous sight to behold. Also, we basically just came from a live set in Portugal’s most prestigious nightclub for music discovery, Lux Frágil. Some people stuck with us ‘till the very end, bless them, even as we obliterated both hell and high water with the likes of Demdike Stare, fuckin’ SLAUGHTER and Leviathan.
Things started as rocky as a mountain on this show thanks be to all things digital catching us by surprise, but it didn’t take much for a COMEBACK FOR THE AGES. Again, think Rocky.
ANGEL WITCH aplenty, goth (to live is to die, damn it!), BLACK METAL from heck, great covers and love letters, hentai (What? No.), METAL MANS and a general disinterest for all things gentle. HARSH SATANIC REALITIES UNEARTHED!!
Out of the frying pan and into the fire. But in a really good and really metal and kickass kinda way! BLASPHEMER aka RUNE ERIKSEN was in town (he’s been living in Portugal for a while now actually…) and down to blast both true and the false with an exquisite set of songs. Metal, prog, rock, the works.
One of the axeman of Aura Noir and founding member of Earth Electric (ex-Mayhem guitarist too, of course) classes up the show with stories from the past and the present, from the good, bad and the ugly, you’ll love it!
