SATAN MADE ME DO IT is officially part of the GIMME RADIO family (check us out at https://gimmeradio.com/#/djs/121) but it always feel good to do these “independent shows” every once and a while. WE CRAVE THE ATTENTION! And we get to be even crazier, both with the music and with the mixer controls. You’ll see what we mean when you listen to this: lots of leftfield madness on top of the extreme metal you all know and love. We feel pretty good about this show!
Well, this was one hell of a show. For starters, we come back with another special guest. RUI VIEIRA, that’s right: he’s big game on the Portuguese underground scene thanks to a bunch of projects like Machinergy, Baktheria and Miss Cadaver. So he came. And he talked. About that new fresh album from Miss Cadaver, about his horror short movie inspired on his hometown’s folklore, while sharing with you some of the tunes that shaped his taste and career. Our chat with Rui (hour TWO of the show) is in Portuguese, but there’s enough classic songs in there to keep you going if you’re not from these shores.
Metal and Hardcore are two faces of the same coin for Rui, so on hour ONE of the show it just made sense for SATAN MADE ME DO IT to pave the way with mainly good metal-punk stuff. You’ll like it and that’s a promise.
It’s SATAN MADE ME DO IT, back again to spread fear on the Rádio Quântica district. True cult deathlike noizes on both channels for a full – PAIN…FULL! – stereo experience. Digital hardcore, organic demo inferno. Blackness and synthness. And kittens.
This one is the most 90s black metal episode we’ve done so far, but in truth there really isn’t that much black metal in it. Well, ok, there’s plenty of it, but maybe not in the way you expect? You’ll be the judge and we’ll be the case, how ‘bout that? All we can say is that it came out naturally, and that is a good thing.
Nature and ambience are the two main keywords here, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that this is a rhythm-free episode. Best heard during night-time this one. Keep your beverage of choice at hand for the best results.
And PLAY IT LOUD goddammit! Don’t be afraid to feel like crap while listening to this. It can be devastating at times, but you’ll feel hellagood by the end of it all.
The image is clear: this episode will quite simply feel like a mighty hammer driving a big sharp, rusty nail into your forehead. It will wage war into your living space, each track a shrapnel grenade ready to render your headphones into smithereens and giving a new meaning to the drum in eardrum – such is the beating it is ready to inflict, rattling like a Browning machine gun sweeping the horizon. And if at any time you feel the intensity is relaxing a bit, be careful: the episode will most likely be back thirsting for more.
Take cover and PLAY IT LOUD! We hope you can live through it until our return on May 13th.
